 Вид бизнеса, ограниченного строгими религиозными правилами; обычно эти правила запрещают получение прибыли в результате сотрудничества с неисламскими организациями или отдельными лицами. Однако в настоящее время допускается получение внутренних прибылей, что может быть достигнуто при использовании исламской инвестиционной компании и одного из следующих механизмов. Мурабаха (Murabaha) представляет собой хорошее средство для использования временно свободных средств, которые вкладываются в приобретение товаров у производителя для их немедленной продажи и поставки покупателю, который в более поздний, отсроченный день оплаты уплачивает заранее определенную надбавку к издержкам. Отсрочка может составлять всего семь дней. Сделки Мушарака (Musharaka transactions) включают совместное с другими партнерами участие в финансировании торговли, лизинговых сделках, операциях с недвижимостью, в промышленных проектах. Чистые прибыли делятся в пропорции, которая оговаривается с самого начала. Иджарах (Ijarah) имеет дело с получением прибыли от сдачи в аренду недвижимости. Иджарава-Иктина (Ijarawa-Iktina) относится к лизингу крупных капитальных активов, таких, как недвижимость, машины или оборудование. В ходе лизинга осуществляются ежемесячные рентные платежи, а по истечении его срока арендатор приобретает оборудование.
